Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is a American chef television personality and an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network star with her trademark long, blonde hair with a exuberant personality, shares easy techniques to master and reduces anxiety about restaurant food in her series Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell has worked and studied in some of the most prestigious New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. Growing up in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell found a passion for food and cooking at a young age. The Culinary Institute of America was where she studied to earn an English diploma and Communications diploma in Canisius College Buffalo NY. I enjoyed every moment that I was a student at The Culinary Institute of America she states. The Culinary Institute of the Americas was an excellent location to learn. After graduating, chef Burrell lived in Italy for a year, taking classes at classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. She also worked in La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin star restaurant) in Tuscany. In Italy she gained a profound appreciation and understanding of Italian cuisine and its culture. This has had a profound impact on how Burrell prepares her food. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens children who are facing challenges. She is also a Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation celebrity ambassador where she is an advocate for children with diabetes and awareness. As a guest speaker and teacher Burrell travels throughout the United States to discuss her love for cooking and career. Anne said she felt lucky that I could share her true passion with others.
